Summer Packing Tips

What to Pack for a Summer Weekend (Without Overpacking)

Style and color don’t have to mean bulky baggage - use these clever Kerr-Chief packing tips to keep your look and luggage feeling light this summer!

  • 1 Pareo - Wear it as a wrap-around skirt with a classic button down or tank top to dinner on the first night, then hit the beach or pool the next day and use it as a cover up or lounge cover.

  • 1 Cashmere Wrap - It might be hot outside, but it’s always cold indoors or on the plane, so don’t be caught without that perfectly cozy extra layer.

  • 1 Silk Scarf - Tied as a top and paired with flowy pants for a casual dinner or shorts for a fun lunch, then folded in half and tied neatly over your hair to keep your blow-dry fresh in the breeze the next day.

  • 1 Bandana - Perfect for any outdoor adventure fashioned as a hands-free bag on your belt loops or tied around your neck to keep the sun off.

  • 1 Twilly - For a new look to an old purse or piece of luggage, just tie a twilly around the handle then dress up your ponytail for the ride home.

Travel tips:

  • Wear cotton when wearing sunscreen - they are less fussy and easy to throw in the wash (or even sink!) and they are good as new.

  • Steam the corners of the silk scarf after wearing and fold the other direction and you have a brand-new featured design from the last time.

  • Wear the Kerr-Chief your favorite way first, then use the back-up plan once it has a few wrinkles or sunscreen on it (i.e. wrap-around skirt first, pool cover-up second)
